PROMOT Automation addresses this challenge with an innovative system comprising ProHMI and OnePanel, which integrates robotics, vision, and safety and radically simplifies the operation of robotic cells. At the heart of the solution is the robust and flexible Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 controller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operating multiple robots or different generations of robots in a manufacturing environment increases the number of control devices, interfaces, and interdependencies. Process adjustments often require robot-specific programming skills, which leads to longer commissioning times, greater training requirements, more time-consuming troubleshooting, and an increased need for experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Traditional image processing concepts often consist of separate subsystems in which live images, parameterization, and workpiece training are performed outside the system&rsquo;s operating interface. The situation is similar with safety technology when the PLC and safety systems are not integrated into a unified engineering environment. PROMOT&rsquo;s response to these challenges is an integrated operating and control concept that brings together various robots, gantries, and cell-side stations within a single operating environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Standardized Software Interface<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ProHMI serves as a standardized software interface: It standardizes interaction with robots and other system components by presenting motion functions, operating modes, and process access within a common logic. This reduces the need for robot-specific programming skills in day-to-day operations. Implementation is carried out using OnePanel as a central control unit, which replaces several manufacturer-specific panels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Safety technology is also integrated: PLC, safety, and remote maintenance all run in a single software environment, which makes diagnostics and engineering more consistent. Fail-safe controllers, such as an F-CPU, enable advanced safety functions without disconnecting the diagnostic paths. The Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 is a high-performance programmable logic controller known for its fast processing, precise control, and integrated motion control functions.
